What is Reiki? Reiki is a form of energy healing, a type of alternative medicine originating in Japan.
Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing through which a "universal energy" is transferred through the palms of the practitioner, to encourage emotional or physical healing.
What are the benefits of Reiki? The aim of reiki is to restore balance to the energy within your body.
There are all sorts of benefits associated with the practice, ranging from relaxation and stress reduction, to pain relief, reduced anxiety, better sleep, an improved sense of wellbeing providing you with a greater sense of connection with both yourself and the outside world.
How does Reiki work? Reiki operates on the assumption that a universal life force sustains all living organisms and that an energetic and spiritual dimension exists in humans as part of the healing process.
By balancing these energies, the body's natural healing ability is stimulated. The focus is on healing, particularly through the spirit and mind-body connection, rather than a cure or treatment of specific conditions or diseases.
What to bring:
Please bring along a bottle of water with you to hydrate and allow time for grounding after the session. Feel free to bring your own mat, blanket, cushion and eye pillow or use one of our provided mats.
