National Day of Reflection, organised by Marie Curie, is a day to connect and support those who are grieving from the loss of family and friends over the last two years.
Wednesday 23rd of March is a day to reach out and support the legacy of remembrance and compassion. The first National Day of Reflection took place in 2021 to mark the first anniversary of the first lockdown. Now in 2022, we again join together as communities across the country to hold a minute's silence at 12 noon to remember those who lost their lives.
You can get involved with The National Day of Reflection in a number of ways including:
- Join the 12 noon Minute’s Silence - take a moment to reflect on this day of remembrance.
- Shine a Light at 8pm - Whether it be taking a candle outside at 8pm, putting a lantern in your window or lighting up your phone torch, 8pm will be a chance to show your support for those who experienced loss.
- Daffodils - Show your support by displaying daffodils, the flower of Marie Curie, by wearing one of the daffodil pins or having them at your home or workspace.
- Join an Online Event - Follow this link to find a range of online events across topics including breathwork, yoga and dealing with grief: Join an online event | National Day of Reflection (mariecurie.org.uk)
